Fire Operations (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned firefighting brigade, operating in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban. Specialising in tactical firefighting, they provide a first response service to subscribing members with a primary function being structural firefighting.

The primary mission of FIRE OPS SA is rapid first response firefighting, ensuring immediate dispatch within 60 to 90 seconds to any location within their operational footprint. Their target market is vast and includes all sectors, from residential, industrial, and commercial properties, remote deployments to construction sites, mines, estates, and specialized service environments.

First Response tactical firefighting

Subscribing members are given access to the first response member app and emergency line linked to a watchroom and monitored.
The client has direct contact with the crew which allows for immediate dispatch to the reported incident.
Vehicles are dispatched and turning the key within 60 seconds (90 seconds at night) of first receiving the report, a priority service only accessible to subscribing members.

Floor wardens

Some of the roles & responsibilities:

Floor Wardens are assigned to client buildings and where required to specific floors
Building inspections of handheld fire equipment, suppression systems, generator and transformer rooms
Inspect all hydrants on a weekly basis and notify facilities team of relevant issues
Inspect building signage and ensure all signage incl evacuation signage is visible at all times
Inspection and monitoring of diesel store tanks
Liaise and co-ordinate any other fire related suppliers on site such as 3rd party construction / refurbishment or fire system teams
Building patrols of all floors (incl basement and parking floors)
Continuous patrolling and reporting (to the Fire Ops SA watchroom and client security team)
Daily checks on smoke control doors for obstructions
