Powder Extreme Dry Chemical Skid
Why the Powder Xtreme?
Speed to action. By integrating water, foam and dry chemical into one system, crews can select the right agent instantly and respond with precision. Whether cooling, smothering or chemically interrupting combustion, the platform delivers fast, controlled knockdown within moments.
Compact power when fuel fires turn aggressive
Built as a compact, compartment-mounted unit, the Powder Extreme is designed for real-world response, where space is limited but performance cannot be. It fits into an appliance without getting in the way, yet when it is needed, it delivers a level of capability that goes well beyond its size.
At the heart of the system is 34 kg of Williams PKW dry chemical powder, stored in a refillable tank and driven by a 310 bar air-pack system. The discharge is strong and consistent, with selectable output rates of 2.3 kg/sec or 3.2 kg/sec, giving crews the ability to match the intensity of the fire in front of them.
The real strength of the Powder Extreme is how it works with water or foam. Using the Williams Hydro-Chem handgun, operators can combine dry chemical with a water or foam stream, delivering between 227 and 473 litres per minute. This is not just about knocking the fire down, it is about controlling it. The dry chemical disrupts the flame, while the water or foam cools surfaces and prevents re-ignition.
The Williams PKW agent itself is built for these conditions. A potassium bicarbonate-based powder, free-flowing and water-repellent, designed specifically for flammable liquid fires. Its deep purple colour is not just for identification, it allows firefighters to see exactly where they are applying agent, even in poor visibility, keeping the attack focused and effective.
Fully charged, the system weighs 102 kg and comes complete with 30 metres of 25 mm dry chemical hose and the Hydro-Chem application system, making it a ready-to-deploy solution for high-risk environments.
